We all know and love this game, but today, it is being interrupted by a never-ending stream of advertising that is more expensive than some NFL players make. NFL Network Commercials are where the NFL and its teams get money to cover costs for taking care of their facilities, traveling, paying players and coaches, and more.

Recent reports indicate that only fifteen to twenty minutes of playing time is spent on the field during an NFL game. The rest of the show on the network covers commercials that include cars and vehicles, personal hygiene items, and various other services.

Yes, and the Super Bowl is when companies typically try to advertise their best. The National Football League broadcasts the event each year, and the commercials that air attract a lot of attention.

A Super Bowl commercial is a highly visible television advertisement that airs during the broadcast of the National Football League (NFL) championship game. As many viewers only watch the game for the commercials, the Super Bowl commercials have become a cultural phenomenon in their own right. 

It has become extremely popular because of the cinematographic quality, unpredictability, surreal humor, and special effects employed in Super Bowl advertisements. Super Bowl ads have also featured celebrity cameos.

  • Cryptocurrency

Coinbase, Crypto, eToro, and FTX appeared as advertisers on the American broadcast of Super Bowl LVI (2022), while BitPay was featured as an advertiser on the Canadian broadcast. Some media outlets referred to the Super Bowl XXXIV as the “Crypto Bowl,” a nod to the wave of dot-com ads at that game. Several advertisements, including TurboTax and Bud Light Next, also referred to cryptocurrency and related concepts such as NFTs (non-fungible tokens).

  • Budweiser

A Budweiser commercial always airs during the Super Bowl. With a deal with the NFL that ran through Super Bowl 50, Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser parent company) gained a long-term contract with the game’s broadcaster that allowed it to purchase multiple air time slots at a steep discount. The Budweiser Clydesdales, Budweiser’s mascots, tend to appear in several advertising campaigns during each game. From Super Bowl IX in 1975 to Super Bowl LI in 2017, the Clydesdales appeared in at least one Super Bowl commercial each year.

  • GoDaddy

GoDaddy, a domain registrar and web hosting company, produces Super Bowl commercials. The company has featured female spokespersons in its ads, such as driver Danica Patrick and comedian Joan Rivers. Broadcasters rejected many of GoDaddy’s planned Super Bowl ads because of their risqué content. Instead, the company aired a “teaser” ad that urged viewers to view their uncensored ad online.

  • Coca-Cola

Advertisers named “Hey Kid, Catch!” as the best Super Bowl commercial of all time in a poll conducted by Advertising Age in 2011. Despite its debut in October 1979, the advertisement achieved mainstream attention only after airing during Super Bowl XIV in 1980.

It won a Clio Award, led to a movie called The Steeler and the Pittsburgh Kid, and was remade in other cities with local athletes. Greene became one of the most famous athletes due to “Hey Kid, Catch!”. 

  • Tide

Tide detergent was promoted during the Super Bowl by Procter & Gamble. Viewer favorites and award winners include Tide’s ads for Super Bowl XLII and XLVII, including “Talking Stain,” which showed a stain disrupting a job interview, and “Miracle Stain,” depicting a spot that appeared like Joe Montana.
